Ya ... there's usually a biased for better looking woman. It's not that suprising; in this day and age, society looks for "eye-candy."

If you want to be a stewardess for Korean Air, try to be at least bilingual in Korea and English. It would be even better if you knew Japanese and Cantonese/Madarin since Korean Air branches out to those countries too.

I would still go to college and maybe major in Communications or Business and minor in Foreign Studies or Korean.

You still need education just in case you don't make it to becoming a stewardess.

that and the fact one needs to bear with flights lasting 10+ hours, being able to maneuver within the aircraft. but yeah, the prettiness factor is big.

That is so true, you also have to be 5'3"+. I'm not kidding about the height either.

My mom was a flight attendant for Cathy Pacific back when she was in her 20s haha. She said that she sent in an application including a photo of herself (since they do care about appearance). Then she went through rounds of interviews- they sounded difficult. they gave her hypothetical situations like "what would you do if you were serving someone a drink and suddenly there was turbulence and you spilled the drink all over the person?"

haha and then... training. and that's it!

you can go directly to their site and check it out.

Generally, you need to have:
- at least 1 year experience in the hospitality industry
- high scool graduate
- have reached the age of majority in the Airlines' country of origin (i.e. for a Canadian airline, you have to be at least 19 but for an American airline, 21)
- speak the Airlines' language and in most cases (I think with the exception of American based airlines) a second. Some, like Air Canada will require a written test of both language.
- must be able to reach the baggage storage at the top - this height will depend on the plane model
- have a valid passport to travel in and out of countries

Yeah, I wanted to be a flight attendant for a while; make some money for post-secondary. But I was like months under turning 19 when Zoom Airlines was hiring, I had all the requirements except my age sleep.gif They told me to apply later but I don't think that's going to happen since I'm already in college.. but I'll travel the world sometime biggrin.gif
