I have a Casio Exilim EX-Z4U. Just 2 days ago I simply turned on my camera and while in the record setting, only a black screen showed up. The problem isn't the LCD because the menu & settings are still functionable and I can view pictures I've previously taken. It just seems as though the lens cover isn't open (though it is) Everything else is fully functioning.

I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and how much it costs to fix it. I don't want to take it to a repair shop and be bilked. & if anyone could enlighten me on what could possibly be wrong with it, I'd really appreciate any help!

i have this problem too..
and i just turn my camera off and then turn it back on..
when its recording.. i think its the
memory card thats bad..

or i don't know.. try asking them?
it might be the camera..
