I'm thinking of getting a new MP3 Player (I've had my iRiver for two-three years) and since I've never liked iPods, I'm thinking of getting an iRiver H10.

Is it any good? The reviews on the Pinned MP3 Topic were somewhat mixed with negative and positve.

The iRiver America sells the 5GB for $179.99, 6GB for $199.99 and the 20GB for $229.99.

I can barely fill 6 GB let alone 20 GB, but a whole 14 extra GB for just $30 more is a little tempting.

Should I get the $200 6GB or the $230 20GB or maybe just one gig less with the $170 5GB?

Since it doesn't have video capabilities, I would probably get the 6GB (5GB is a possiblility) , but I just need opinions.

However, I can probably get the 5/6/20 GB for less $150-200 on Amazon. (btw is Amazon trustworthy??)

Thanks for the help. xD

the 20 gb h10 is much larger than the 5 gb one. my cousin had one and it was very small...just a lil larger than the nano. she had one for a couple of days and then it suddenly froze. it was easy to fix since all i did was take the battery out and put it back in again. she was worried so we took it back to circuit city and got the sandisk sansa e250. its a lil more money but its a flash payer and less likely to screw up.

if u still want to get an 5 gb h10, the circuit city in my area sold it for $127-142 (diff prices for diff colors)

i think you should get the 5gb or 6gb but not the 20gb because it's a lot fatter than the H10 5/6gb. also the screen on it is pretty bad compared to ipods... actually if i were you i'd wait for the e10 to come out because it's like the successor to h10 and it's already out in korea.

I was thinking of getting the E10 while visited Korea 2 weeks ago.

I didn't like the design. And I would much rather have 5/6gb H10 than the 2gb E10.

Anybody else think that I should buy the 20GB fro $30 more instead of a 6GB?

you're a bit rude arent you? he might've been mistake about the amount of gigs but it isnt that big of a deal. he also stated that he didnt like the design, so regardless of gigs he doesnt like it

i actually own a irivier h10 and its 6gb. I only use up about... no more than 2gb so I have alot of room left. I brought it around...180ish I think forgot...but I brought guarentee for it so if anything happen to it then I can get a new one. i brought it at circuit city too hehe happy.gif

I gotta say if u don't have that much stuff to put on than don't buy the 20gb its like no use for it. sumtimes it freezes but its easy to fix jus take out the battery and start over and u can start everything over by just clicking data refresh and all the songs deletes.

so probably u should get the 6gb or 5gb

I have a H10.....and it's been great.....until lately.....like it would just freeze and sometimes just plays one song and stops.........but overall, considering how long I have used it.......it's great...the sound quality is excellent, if you use like sony earphones.......it's really slim, to me.......overall, I would give it an 8 out of 10.

Did you consider that purrrdie Samsung they came out with??? I think it plays videos too, not too sure. Doesn't have voice recording though, & is max around 4 G. but I think it has an avg. or rather good rating. Not too sure though, I might be mixing it up w/ some other device since I've been doing some CRRAAAZAYYY researchin' myself, lol. =D

I have the H10 20gig and it sucks. I would get the Creative Vision M or the iAudio x5L instead.

So ... alot of pepople seem to hate the 20GB h10.

How about the 5GB or 6GB h10?

That's enough space for me. Is it a good deal for $150-200?

Also, is Amazon.com trustworthy to buy an h10?

thanks. >.<

Arnt the e10 already released? I saw them in AUS, and trust me, we are SLOW and getting new mp3 players in.
I reckon its really simple, but i like it biggrin.gif I would get it, but I already have my iRiver clix which i am in LOVE with. I use it almost everyday, at school, going to work etc, and it hasnt froze or screw up, not to mention its hard to scratch, and i put mp3 players through living hell ==" I keep dropping them etc but i love it/
I listen to alot of music, but 2 gb is MORE then enough to put on the songs i WILL listen to, instead of skipping most of teh songs in my libary :DDDDDD
I recomend it.

Go iRiver biggrin.gif

I would never recommend any version of the H10.

The iRiver Clix is around $200 with only 2 gigs but if you don't care about the space then I would get it.

the h10 is kinda old....ive had mine for about 2 years i think o.O
its a little beat up from normal usage but its a good mp3 player over all.
it was a better deal than ipods (back in the day) but now there are better mp3s with more features, better screens etc...
i just bought a creative zen vision m and im lovin it!...but its a little pricey

there is a new version of the vision m...called the zen v (http://www.creative....ucts/mp3/zenv/) and this looks very promising and has gotten good reviews so far. It has the same interface as the vision m, plays videos, good screen, good sound quality. although it looks a little too toy like for me. this comes out soon...and a plus version will be out in august i think..has more feature like fm tuner...

Clix is also very good choice if u can deal with the 2gb

the h10 series which are 20gb are massive.. they are chunky as hell and the screen is just about the same size as the nano's. (1.5" TFT LCD). pretty bad imo.. i woudlve gone for a different mp3player which isnt so big. My friends was smashed when he got spear tackled (well.. it happens right?). The screen was smashed and unrepairable. if you are after a 6GB mp3player then you should look at the Sandisk E200 seres.. they got an 8GB series coming out.. consider it.

My brother's H10 is pretty cool. It was a 5gb one; but I guess sometimes it was slow with the song selections; so I'm guessing with a 20gb it might be O_O

omg, are you serious? tears.gif I dropped my H10 a couple of times recently because I was helping elders by giving up seats on the bus, and I forgot that I have my H10 on my lap........T__T Which probably explains why my H10 is acting funky now tears.gif
