All of these companies hold auditions. Some, like SM and JYP entertainment, hold them every week in Korea and all you have to do is show up and audition. Others you have to apply either online or by submitting a paper application and wait for an answer.

Where on the YG page can you find the audition information?
the YG site does not have audition info nor do they have open auditions.
goto www.ygaudition.co.kr
(it's in korean)
Does every company have an open audition weekly, daily or monthly? plus, what process do u go through during the open audition (again, every company has the same process or?)?
Do we have to be able to speak fluent Korean?
SM holds auditions every saturday at 3pm.
but as for JYP
they have auditions every 1st & 3rd Saturday
at 12 noon but you have to be there at least by 11:30am
at the JYP Center.

In the long run you're going to have to be able to speak Korean because if you make it you're going to be living in Korea and training and performing there.
During the audition if you don't speak Korean but you have a lot of talent and you stand out they might overlook it and still invest in you but you're going to have learn it eventually.

Do you have to be Korean/Korean American or do you just have to be Asian/Asian American?
They're probably looking more for Koreans, whether they live in Korea or abroad (SM artists are like 90% korean if not more) for a variety of reasons but they definitely want asians in general so they can branch out. Like in Super Junior there's a chinese guy and that probably helps in gaining popularity outside of Korea, mainly China.

In fact, currently SM is looking for just Asians. DBSG and SuJu held a concert in Malaysia on the 15th and they were holding SM auditions also. http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68998 <---S.M. Entertainment's '06 World Tour Audition, U.S., Canada, China, Taiwan, and Thailand
