"Sleep paralysis occurs when the brain awakes from a REM state, but the bodily paralysis persists."
"Some reports read that various factors increase the likelihood of both paralysis and hallucinations. These include:[11]
* Sleeping in an upwards supine position
* Irregular sleeping schedules; naps, sleeping in, sleep deprivation
* Increased stress
* Sudden environmental/lifestyle changes
* A lucid dream that immediately precedes the episode."
i have it happened to me once. it was so weird. i wasnt stressed, i didnt have any changes, it was just a regular night. i didn't have any bad dreams but something woke me up and when i opened my eyes i couldn't move at all. i remember not being able to breathe, or blink, or move at all. i was so scared, i just trying to call my mom or just scream but i couldn't. then i heard laughing. it was so creepy.
