Have any of you used any guides to write admissions essay?

if so, could you recommend me the one you think is best?

you dont need a book. utilize your guidance counselor.

my guidance counsler said I should use a book, as well as a lot of other people I've talked to

books tell you everything a lot of colleges are looking for.

and my counselor is new, and she's not very good..
