It's great to see Wii an international success. Here we'll take a took at how it's doing in South Korea (where MMORPG is grandmother of gaming). The DS has only been released for a little over a year and it's been doing very well. Nintendo wants to bring its games to the masses. With the popularity of Nintendo DS in South Korea, it shouldn't be long until Wii arrives and conquers over. Read more about the state of Wii and DS:

By the way, the new colors: Glossy Silver and Metallic Rose are released in that area of the Asian region. I've been dreaming of that Glossy Silver since the announcement of the DS Lite.

Paint by DS producer, Jason Harman, realizes that there is an opportunity on the Wii, and he may not let it slide by. While we are waiting on the DS version to head our way, Mr. Harman is thinking Wii. He even has some ideas about what could be included. "The Wii version could include other painting media such as a spray paint can and a roller."

I wouldn't mind trying it out first on the DS since I'm an artist myself.
Unfortunately, I think Paint by DS is hitting Europe and Japan right now. I'll have to wait for it to arrive in the US.

Tokyo Game Show (TGS) was a major success this year, and who is gaining more success than Wii. Even though Nintendo wasn't at the show, there were Wii and DS games all over the place. Really, this show was all about the Wii, as any third party with a Wii game was eager to show it off. Maybe Nintendo will be urged to appear at TGS2008, who knows. Read a Wired report on the state of TGS, and the lack of Nintendo company presence:

Here's a Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Kit for DS on pre-order @ Future Shop
Man, that would only look good on a black DS Lite, where I only have the default white one.
I wonder what the bonus item looks like if we pre-order Phantom Hourglass.

~Drawn on life (I find it really interesting and surprisingly addicting)
~Taiko no Tatsujin DS! (Good at first but it's getting so hard now to complete each song, getting on my nerves!)
I didn't quite like Jam sessions, I expected more from it maybe something like Taiko but it's such a disappointment.

Im completely new to this whole game thing, but I really really want to buy a nintendo ds.
I just want to ask a couple of questions, since you guys already own one:
1) Power source? Is is battery operated (like AA batteries), or recheargeable (plug-in like how you charge cellphones)?
2) If it is plug-in, is it already in the package when I buy DS lite? (I saw some recharger um, plug thingies sold at bestbuy separately, so just wondering)
3) Is DS lite have pre-installed games? Or do I have to buy the cartridges myself?
4) For cartridges, do they sell something like 100 in 1 games? (yeah you can tell Im not a gamer XD)
5) Are there anything else essential that I need to buy?
If anybody please give their opinions, I'd GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks! My friend told me to just buy PSP but it's waaay too expensive for a newbie like me.

1. Rechargable
2. Packaged
3. Buy games
4. For older older systems. but there is R4 and M3 Simply which allows you to download and store around 20 games on a 1GB micro sd card
5. Nope.

i thought it was strange at first because i was expecting the side-scrolling blue guy. and it was totally different =P it was fun nontheless.
i'm working on MySims and Drawn to Life.
MySims seems like a kid-version of animal crossing. you'd never expect something cute and kiddy to come out from EA games.
Drawn to Life is interesting, but with my strange thin stylus, it's hard to draw my character >_<;;

it should be the same price as everywhere else around $130 USD so roughly $1014HKD.
give or take a bit. theres so many places in HK that would probably sell it, im sure if you shop around you can find places with slightly lower prices. but probably not by much.
