i dunno if i want to sell my red ds so i can buy a ds lite because you can't really share wifi games without reconifguring the friend codes every time and that would get tedious, but the ds lite is soooo sexy.

hm...i think i have a dead pixel. that means i can get it replaced right? =D
Yup. If you want to spend the money for shipping and handling and you don't mind the 5-6 week wait.
I have a dead pixel too but I'm too lazy to go mail it to Nintendo.

actually, you don't have to pay shipping to/from nintendo. you go to their official website and fill out this form, then nintendo will send you a prepaid envelope and you use that. then they'll fix the dead pixel and ship it back to you. one of my pixels is half-dead but it's not worth the hassle of mailing it and waiting for it to get mailed back to me. besides, i can't go that long without playing my ds!

*&^%$#@!!!!!!!!!! Sadly, Ive beaten the top 5 players (top meaning most hours played) from the nintendo wifi site and they always disconnect right before it ends. There is no win-loss record, it just some player rating like tetris does. It ends in a draw, and both players score stays the same.
Anyways, in this game, you have your main character and you cast magic by holding "L or "R" and drawing "runes." There are 18 single spells, and then you can combine any 2 together to make a different spell. And then are about 30 super trio spells. 396 spells makes alot of diversity, so theres a counter for everything.
Ive only fought against one person who knew the one spell that ****ing destroyes my team.
You also command a group of monsters you capture thoughout the game. You control movemnt by tapping on (or dragging a circle) your units, and then tap where you want them to move. They have no path finding skills and will only go in a stright line, so you have to carefully coordinate movement.
Think pokemon+rts+mage
The single player game is short, but fun. The story is predictable. Most levels are easy, but extremely hard ones ae randomly thrown in. There is a new game +, you get to keep everything, and the enemies levels scale up too. I heard there are 4 different endings.
Wifi is noticably much laggier then the single player game, there is a second delay after issueing movemnt commands and bringing up the spell screen. If you leave you mage out for just a second, the other person will rush you and then its over. They dont let you rematch either when its over.

Oh yeah, I should mention the DS Lite will only be available in Polar White come June 11th. Later today I'll be purchasing the JPN DS Lite from an online retailer being that other colors besides white are available.

For those thinking of importing, be aware that if there are dead or stuck pixels on your imported DS Lite then you'll have to deal with Nintendo of Japan. Nintendo of America will not replace your DS Lite regardless so keep that in mind everyone.

^DAMN IT IM KINDA PISSED OFF.. can't you trade in the old ds for the neww one anywhere?! they should doooo thaattttt! maybe with a small fee.. GODD nintendo screwed me over
Nintendo didn't screw you over. If anything, they're making things better for us by making a new DS. Plus, I bet you bought your regular DS recently. I'm sure gamestops and other stores will you give store credit (probably not a lot) towards a DS Lite.

you should be used to the fact that Nintendo always makes a 2nd (and sometimes 3rd) revision to their portables. it's happened to the Gameboy, GBA, and now DS
