does anyone know how to change the screen resolution
on a Windows computer to 1440X900??
when i go to the control panel it doesnt go above 1280x1000 O_O

Reason being, your monitor doesn't support it. If it does then you might want to update your video card drivers.

My laptop came with 1440 x990. It's a 17 inch widescreen.
You probably can't do that because the width of your screen has to be way more than the height. You don't have enough height on your screen to do that, I suppose.

the 1440er resolution is only supported by widescreen monitors

i know how to do it if you got an nvidia card
