And i would tell my friends i had "other plans" for the weekend but it was just me and my clan practicing and having matches.
Eh, I guess it wouldn't hurt revealing what game it was. Maplestory.
Haha, I can relate to the friend thing. I would tell my friends that I'm busy studying for a test or that I was going to some family gathering. Well one day they showed up unexpectedly while I was "studying" and I just switched the monitor off, whipped out random books, and let them in. One of them went to check their facebook and before I could stop them....she saw DotA.
Oh man. I love The Sims. I use The Sims to wean myself off of games that I'm unhealthily addicted to.
It's not so much that I'm a girl. It's the age factor that bugs me most.

Anyways, are there any other good RPGs for the DS? I prefer just RPGs.
[I'm in Vietnam right now, so the connection is so slow when I'm trying to log onto www.gamespot.com]
Thanks!

That game was amazing, I must say.
Isn't there a new Fire Emblem coming out? And Chrono Trigger and Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (tho this isn't out in english yet).
Might I suggest you try some non rpg games? I used to be a hardcore rpg player but I've kind broaded my range of games I play and I'm soooooo glad because there is so much out there.
Try Advanced Wars. Professor Layton and the Curious Village, and Hotel Dusk.
and for those who play L4D on xbox...the update to fix the errors is FINALLY here!!!

I would dread buying game cards at Target or Blockbuster because I'm very self conscious. I would drive 10 miles to a Blockbuster (even though there was one half a mile away) because one of the cashiers was like "WHOA, a girl that looks like you, playing this?" I lied and told him that I was buying it as a gift for my younger brother.
wow, you should feel embarrassed at yourself for saying that. what a disgrace to everyone that play video games. you feel ashamed, and afraid itll make you look bad if people know you play games? or a certain kind of game?
i always thought chicks who play games are cool, well.. only the ones that are proud of being a gamer lol
v12 - 2 hours a week? lmao yeah the hell right. it takes nearly 2 hours just to complete a quest or two, or run an instance. it must've took you 89432 weeks to hit max lvl cap.

Define hardcore......
@ MeriendaTime - I have to partially agree with Tone on this. What's wrong with a girl playing game? I'm pretty sure when the cashier said that he was implying that it was pretty damn cool that a girl is playing a game like that.

Err, this isn't worth mentioning as it will make no difference at all but it's a bit irritating when people get words twisted when it was clearly stated in a previous post.
As for the cashier's comment...I walked in after an interview wearing a pantsuit. I looked much older than I was (and I'm not very young to begin with). I guess I should've left the "girl" out since that threw ya'll off. Well I guess the last two posts proves that people tend to go with the implied over the literal? You learn something new everyday.

Ah, my bad guess I read it wrong. Though the age thing would have been hard to catch if you never pointed it out. Even so~ I don't think you should feel self-conscious about your age. Nowadays we have seven year old children playing games where you block peoples heads off and whatnot I don't see what's wrong with some of the older generation playing cutesy games. Currently me and my co-workers are obsessed with Shuan the Sheep and proud of it!

Lol. Maplestory. I used to play that during closed and open beta. Even played it when OMS came out. Pissed me off how they made us start all over though.

I bought that game not too long ago and haven't finished it yet. I've been consumed with PC games (always have been) but I hope to get around to it soon. So many games I started playing and never finished.
Chrono Trigger. Hands down. Lol. If you haven't played it on SNES then play it! If you have, then play it again!

As for broadening my range, I'll wait until I have more money in my accounts. I'm kind of low right now with how the economy's doing and all.
Cheers!

who said its about "gaining respect" all i said was that its nothing to be ashamed of. so what if you are an old fart? gaming doesn't have any age limit on it. if you are that embarrassed by it, you might as well just order your games from here on out. that way you won't have to go to the gaming store fearing the cashier will think weird of you. just a thought
