World of Warcraft keeps me out of trouble, and relaxed. I take my anger out in that game.

I've been beaten by girl gamers so many times, it's not even funny. My ex was such a pro at Mario Kart. Remembering it makes me cringe.

I don't even clarify my gender when it comes to online games because I think it's irrelevant. I'm only going to be playing for a couple of hours, it's not a life or death situation when someone assumes I'm a guy. It's not a big deal if you don't make it a big deal.

Like when I play console games with my guy friends, they're never like "AWWW man I can't believe I lost to a girl!!!" Because I never act like I've never won before. I'm sure many of you have encountered the type. They claim to be pros at Streetfighter, for example, end up mashing the buttons, get lucky with a few combos, and then scream into their boyfriend's faces "I won! I beat you! and I'm a girl!" Obnoxious, really.

It's not life or death, but I'm not that much "playing" a game where I fake my gender too. I guess if you act like a guy too then that's their perception.

We're probably talking about two different things. If you play MMORPGs, then of course you would want to play with people you've met online numerous times, especially if they're good. I'm more of a pick-up-and-go type of player. So if I play counterstrike for a couple of hours (which doesn't even have a girl character option to pick), chances are I'll find a different server tomorrow and the next day after that. So I don't typically make friends online, when I seldom play online.

If by acting like a guy you mean keeping quiet and just playing the game, then yes, I must act like a guy lol. I'm not too much into the interaction part of the game cause most of them are asses anyways.

Well really, the whole thing boils down to how much you're going to play with said stranger. In a lot of the shooters, co-ops, etc etc. games you don't play with the other people for very long. You can join a game for like an hour then never see those people again. I mean, if you're only going to play with them for a session I don't see the point in clarifying your gender that could potentially be harmful to actually playing a good game. Now if you're talking about people you're going to be playing with over a long period of time and actually getting to know, then sure, it's nice to establish that you are, in fact, a girl. But those are usually instances where you'll actually be getting to know the other party. If you just join some random game with strangers that you are never going to talk to again, clarifying your gender often just brings more drama that tends to take away from the game. I'm not saying it happens ALL the time, but it happens enough to really kill the gaming mood.

than you must still live in a fantasy world where i know quite a few famous girl gamers like StarSlay3r, Raychul Moore from gamegirl, Nikole Z from gamegirl, JesV from gamegirl, Adelle Star from gametopius and charismaplus2, and Alex from charismaplus2 and more and i assure you they all play video games and is really good at them.

In other news, tried ANNO 1404 and .. wow, that level of micromanaging an economy is wayyy over the top for me. Whatever happened to 1 farm = food for 8 units. Now these npcs need to have fish, bread, milk, cider... these punks have gotten fat with their demands >_>

Also can't really get into Tom Clancy's EndWar. Feel kinda like a noob playing in single player and issuing voice commands to... the computer. Starcraft II and Diablo III.. where art thou =(

First time I saw the multiplayer for it and it looks crazily ridiculous. I was debating whether to get it on release or wait a few weeks but that scene with the AC-130 sealed the deal for me.

Street Fighter is on sale at gamestop for 20 bucks for everyone who doesn't have it yet~ =)! They're new too!! I debating whether I should buy a ps3 copy or not. =x I don't have a ps3 yet but since I'm joystickless playing with a xbox controller would be mad frustrating.

I wish I paid $20 for my copy of SFIV. I sold my ps3 copy a few weeks ago because I was selling my ps3 stick; besides I have it for 360 as well.

But then, I have the stupid PS3 CE sitting here collecting dust; what a waste. Even though I make extra money on the side playing in tournaments, the game still blows.

KOF12 has... issues. Until they iron out the awful lag situation, I'm won't be playing it much.
