street fighter 4 is just so addicting....

but if its one thing that pisses me off about online ranked matches, is that i can't afford to loose any games because everyone I play is below 1000 points and it deducts 90-120 points from my loss =(

my BF plays, and i have never seen him get so ticked off before in my life same as all my other friends that play. i've decided not to play it- i can't play with the analog stick. i'm more of a Third Strike type of girl the PS2 D-pad is much easier for me to use.

I love 3S, too. I play stick, though. I don't even understand how to play on anything but a stick, it doesn't make sense. Also been trying to play KoF XII and stay as far away from BlazBlue as humanly possible.

you know what? maybe it's my age, but i can't seem to reach to certain moves by different characters fast enough. I feel like a complete fogey when I can't block Cammy's canon drill and Blanka's slide. I don' think i'm a bad player, but there's times where I just get owned for free that I don't turn on the PS3 for days because of the trauma. lol

I tried to play it, but since I come from a heavily competitive fighting game background, I can't enjoy it, the game is just really bad at a competitive level, not to mention I think the characters are pretty bland. I had high expectations, too, since Arksys made it -- but it's no Guilty Gear, that's for sure.

KoF XII was a great game that was just way too rushed. The game simply was not finished when it was released.

There are things I like about XII; it's mostly the combo mechanics, almost reminds me of 3s in terms of juggle and reset possibilities. XII is actually pretty basic.
If you try to play KOF like it's SF (I know I did), you get owned. The only SNK game I put any sort of time in, was NGBC and SVC. Any other KOF related stuff came from the CVS series. Knowing moves are one thing, knowing the system is completely different.

If anyone wants to play 3s on GGPO, just let me know. As for SFIV on Live, my GT is "Pinbacker." I don't play IV on PS3 anymore until I get another stick and copy of the game.

I ignored Blazblue when it showed up at my arcade; played it for a few days at home then gave up on it. I enjoyed the hell out of GG but BB got ridiculous.

edit - netplay for KOF is garbage, still isn't patched yet. BB probably has the best netcode, especially since there are 6 player lobbies. That's one of the things Capcom needs to put in IV. Badly.

I haven't played a "real" match yet; been trying out the new heroes/items in single-player Practice Matches.
(cause I refuse to be clobbered in my first match. REFUSE!)

I've been rehashing older games and using emulator ROMS while i wait for "Star Wars: The Old Repulic" MMORPG to come out probably sometime next year. I just re-installed "Oblivion IV: Elder Scrolls" (Game of the Year edition) and am playing through that. Maybe next is "Baldur's Gate", or i might play through Diablo 2 in anticipation for Diablo 3.

I've heard good things from people about "Aion" even some going as far as to say that it's better than WoW, and it might be worthwhile for you FPS fans to get in on the beta of "Sudden Attack", it's like the favorite FPS here in Korea.

Yeah, loved them. BioWare is great. That's why i think they'll do a great job with the upcoming Star Wars MMORPG...which i'm eagerly waiting for.
