what's sad is that despite such a good game, and other good efforts made to make games to appeal to the Japanese market, it saddens me that their market share here is not too good

Yeah I wish the Japanese would get over their "American Made, Can't Buy It" bias and pick up the 360s. Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey are all great J-rpgs. And there are more on the way as Atlus has decided to support the 360.

Crazy thing about the US side of things, I've heard reports the game has been selling out at some stores. And on the Goozex game trading site I use, it's the most requested game right now. I have been surprised at the demand for this game in the states.



Sung, I'm now like 10 or 11 hours in and still on disc one, this is definitely looking to be a 50+ hour game right now.

Anyways, I've been playing Disgaea 3 with whatever free time I have. I'm about 30 hours into the game and it just gets better and better. I can only understand about 40% of everything being said, but I do pick up what is mainly going on and why in each scene. I can definitely say this game is better than both of its predecessors.

nice, I'll definitely pick up Disgaea 3 when it drops in the states. I just picked up the PSP version of Disgaea off Amazon.

Well ive owned a DS since Sept of '06 and it really hasn't changed much. It's alright, but not great. The stylus and touch pad got really boring after awhile, so now I only really play RPGs on it and some Sudoku games. I play and use my PSP way more often, as It's a superior system in games and functions.

And the Wii, I can't stand that I'd be paying $250 for graphics that look like PS2. Considering the PS2 is about $130 new, you're telling me Motion Sensor Controls cost me another $120+tax. I call BS, as there is no way that technology is that expensive. I'll prolly get a Wii at some point when it hits $150 or less, as there are some RPGs I wanna play. But none of the major games they have appeal to me. Nintendo is primarily a 1st party system, and I don't like their 1st party licenses truthfully.

I did break down and get a PS3 in Dec as I had $150 credit on Amazon and they had a deal of getting 7 free Blu-rays AND 5 mail in Blu-Rays free. So I paid $350 for all that, so I cant complain.

But in all honesty, the 360 is still the superior system as of now, cuz they still have the easiest and best online service. I owned CoD4 for both PS3 and 360, and it was so much better and easier to play online w/ 360. I hope the PS3 does improve in this department, but we have to see.

I used to be an avid gamer and swore that I'd remain as such, but games just don't do it for me these days. The most play time of all my systems is the DS Lite. That + the R4 = retro gaming awesomeness. I bought a 360 a few months ago and barely play it. The wii has some fun games but only for multiplayer. Videogames haven't been all that good ever since the Snes imo.

Well we're all in luck NIS America just announced Disgaea 3 for release in the US a few days ago. I have Disgaea PSP also, but I have yet to play it. I spent most of my time replaying Final Fantasy Tactics.
