Really? But come on, that was just a role. And he wasn't an ass in that series, he was just sort of spoiled. Although the ending...grrr. And he didn't go for Liu Yifei which I liked.

i didn't like him in xiang feng xiang wu you xiang yu either, just love one woman please, actually killed one (indirectly) and made the other a female monk. This series is famous for its extreme tragic ending. Love in Bali's ending is no comparison to this. goodness, i think everybody died in this one.

It's really weird b/c like the entire Asian community thinks 金城武 is like super duper hot and handsome, i really think he's just alright, something about his face just bothers me. i used to think 贺军翔 is really good looking, but now i'm just like eh. i don't think 陈冠希 is cute either, even though one of my friends is crazy about him. I like faces with personality/uniqueness/expressive. i like 刘烨，邓超，KimHyunJoong from SS501, Micky Yoochun, and some other ppl i can't name right now.

XFXWYXY in my opinion is a very good series, i LOVE the character 周迅 played, just her personality really attracts me. and i think his name is 孙红雷, not sure, who plays that servant/adopted son role, i liked him as well. 李小冉was SOOO pretty in it, one of the only roles i liked of her. hated her in 金茂祥。

as for female stars, i look for more the aura they giv off rather than just their face. like 范冰冰 is one of my most disliked actresses even though everybody thinks she's sooo pretty, liked her in 还珠格格，but now she's really just getting on my nerves. 董洁 gives out this really clean, pure look. she's definitely not the prettiest, b/c she got a big face and small features. but her face makes me feel really calm, and it doesn't bore me after time. in chinese she would be 耐看, i don't know the english word, sorry.

Ugh...I replied to this a while back and soompi didn't post it...so here's a summary of my first reply:

I think you may just be going through a phase where you dislike all the popular actors. But I don't really think Huang Xiaoming is handsome all the time. His eyes give him a shifty look. Lu Yi, however, I do think he's handsome, but he's so babyfaced. Takeshi Kaneshiro, yeah, I used to be like the rest of the Asian community and think he was the hottest thing ever, but not so much anymore. He's so boring, and he only really looks good with the right makeup. His teeth are really messed up and his nose is too big. Mike He really is the opposite of "Jing Kan"...he used to be so hot to me, and not he just looks like a imbecile everytime he smiles. Joe Cheng who I actually did think look stupid is now much better to me. Edison however...now he's super hot. His face was the face that got me into Asian entertainment because it was perfect and still is. He's just not a very good actor. Hopefully that will change.

Liu Ye...oh, he's my favorite. I think I need to make a post with him. I think Micky's just ugly, but Hyunjoong's cute...not really standout though. If you took away the hair and makeup he'd be really average. Never saw 邓超 act but he's not too impressive looks-wise.

I don't really consider Dong Jie jing kan because her features haven't really grown on me, but maybe. I agree about Fan Bingbing. Zhou Xun, now she's Jing Kan...she gets more beautiful everytime I see her. If Liu Ye was the best Chinese actor of his generation, she would be the best actress.
