To the canadians who attend a university/college in Canada - Where do you guys sell your used textbooks online?
I want to get rid of my old edition textbooks, and am thinking of selling them on amazon.ca - anyone have personal experiences on selling from amazon? Amazon.ca gives a $6 shipping credit to help you out on shipping costs, but how much does shipping actually cost, especially if you're selling those big hardcover texts? ><
Also, any other recommendations for selling elsewhere? I tried looking up my books on half.com, but couldn't find other people selling them since they are canadian editions, and since mostly americans use half.com, I doubt I could sell them there.

Any replies appreciated!

i use saveonbook pretty reliable site. you usually have to meet up with the buyer for your books. i am not sure if a lot of ppl will buy older edition.

I sell mine at Amazon.ca because it has the most exposure. The problem with UnknownFreeBookSellingService.com is the exposure is only limited to your local town/universities, with Amazon.ca you're advertising to all of Canada. Regarding the insufficient shipping credit, you can rape up your item's price or offer local pick up's. Not a econ/business major, hm?

^ LOL, yes I am a business major, and yes I have thought about upping the item price, but just wondering how much it usually costs to ship those heavy hardcovers, especially considering the crazy costs of Canada Post. I usually like to list my books at the lowest price if I want to sell those old editions fast.

I'm leaning towards amazon.ca too, but just wondering on the success rate of selling old edition books. Thanks guys!

I'm just going to try it at my school's book exchange.
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
Even though I really loved you
I'm gonna smile 'cause I deserve to.

I was wondering, how does amazon.ca work for buying books? I just ordered a used book and paid for it. Is the seller going to get notification and then he sends it out?
