So yeah, I'm just coming off a three year contract this August. Can't wait, my phone currently is an Samsung a540, has no colour or the bells and whistles. Good phone otherwise though, but its starting to die on me.

I'm looking at the Sony Ericsson K610. Saw it in person the other day and it looked pretty good, the spec sheet seems to mimic the old K750 too. Money is coming out of my own pocket so I'd prefer if it didnt cost above 500 dollars.

i'm not sure, but if the features are similar to the k750i/w800i, i would go for those models instead because they are cheaper.
i know that it has 2mp camera and mp3 player, so in terms of features it shouldnt differ too much from the k750i or w800i.

for $380 you can probably get the w800 if you look good and hard on-line...

Will your new phone service have 3G service? If so, the K610's 3G compatability will be useful.

Will your new phone service support EDGE? If so, the K610 will be useless, it doesn't have EDGE.

i guess its and allryt fone but im jus mad dat the thingin the middle aynt a jOystick =( its jus a O.K button..
id rather have the new ericsson with the cybershot camera at the back.
my dads getting that one and i jus keep the K610
im not sure how much the other ericsson costs but yeah its pretty good.

W800 huh.. definitely going to check that out. I saw it on the store front but I didnt recognize it at first. Although I gotta admit I'm not too crazy over the orange accents on the phone. W810 itself is 420CDN at a local store, so I wonder how much the W800 costs.

The phone service is going through testing phase of 3G support and expects to unveil it by this fall, so that would be interesting.
