i cant understand japanese well, so i'm not sure what it's about or anything.
since drifting was popular in japan, i'm sure it's better than fast and the furious.

if it's already been posted, then much apologies =/

Geeeeeezzzz, like a thousand times already! tongue2.gif

Hahaha j/p. cool.gif
I saw the trailer (sort of, my connection sucks so it studders). It looks like how Initial D should have been, with the authentic Japanese actors.

has anyone seen the old movies with keiichi tsuchiya? they were made in the late 80's and early 90's. shuto kousoku trial 1-6 (6 is called max). the acting is bad and most of the racing is cheesy (although there are a few cool ones). its pure 80's low budget hotness laugh.gif i just like seeing all the old school cars

OMG YES! i have 1-2 on VCD from my cousin from msia. everyone switched to DVDs so it's hard to find them now adays for cheap. it's so awesome how it's all real cars on the highway, none of this CG F&F crap. i also loved how they showed the main character (the "street king") racing against tsuchiya's NSX on the track and losing badly because he didn't believe street racing was different from track racing laugh.gif

Ya I have one of the Shuto Kousoku Trials I think MAX.....its was so damn cheesy. It had like a love story into it and it felt like playing tokyo extreme racing throughout the whole movie. It was the one where one of the dudes brother dies I think and i dunno the dude like pulls a Initial D and challenges everyone or something... The cars did look authentic and nice though ph34r.gif

you can buy the box set there. 6 movies for $25 on vcd. its entertaining if you enjoy cheesy movies and 80's hotness.

ultra cheesy movies (the shutoku trial ones i mean)
and as for this "dorifuto" movie....well, what japanese movie isn't low budget and would be considered B-rated.

apart from the classic films of a long time ago (ala Akira Kurosawa) the vast majority of Japanese movies are low budget....i'd imagine they probably spend even more on an anime series budget than they do on a movie...and it kinda shows in the end product.
