I don't know how many Bollywood'ers come here, but this is going to be the IT movie for India this year, so I thought I'd make a thread. I heard about it a long time ago but didn't really read up on it until a few days ago. Apparently it's the most expensive Indian film ever made, beating even Devdas! And when I think about how overly lavish Devdas was, it blows my mind thinking something could actually surpass it.

I wish I could see it in theaters come August! It looks beautiful from the trailers, and although I usually don't like those extramarital affair plots, I'm interested in seeing how Karan Johar pulls it off. I know I'll love the cinemtography if nothing else.

It's coming out next Friday! I can't wait to watch this. Although I also hate anything having to do with any kind of affairs, I believe that Karan Johar will somehow make it palatable. Can't wait to see how he treats this sensitive topic.

i'mma go watch this too!! coming to threaters here in august. i'm a huge fan of srk so of course i have to watch this!! besides, my expectations are high for this film, its a karan johar film...all his recent films are hits.

i not really into affair movies, but i know karan is going to do a great job. just look at his movies:Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. those are some great movies.

I love the Mitwa song... my cousin told me that she only likes that song from the movie and I went to go check it out, and it's really good... I think that's the only good song from the movie, well then the title song will come second... but if you go to YouTube and type in KANK-Mitwa, you can hear samples... it's a nice catchy song... kinda sounds like a K-POP song... XP but yeah, I'd like to see how Karan works out this storyline... This was the film that he offered Kajol and Kajol declined it because 3 months of it would be filmed in New York and she didn't want to be away from her daughter... but I really want Kajol and SRK to come back!!! No.1 Jodi!! SRK AND KAJOL!!! But oh well... and I'm probably as confused as everybody that this was more than Devdas.... NO WAY!! HOW!!!

I'm surprised that this movie would cost more than Devdas. But I guess the cost of having the whole film crew stay and shoot in New York and New Jersey cost a lot. The dance sets were were really nice and I'm sure the rent wasn't too cheap for some of the apartments and houses they filmed in.

I actually enjoyed the movie even though it was about marriage and affairs and such. The 1st half was Hilarious It was great to see Shah Ruhk play such a different character. He was so sarcastic.

A BAD REVIEW...from me


this is the first shahrukh khan movie that i honestly hate. i hated the plot. i thought everyone (maybe except for the grandfather, grandma, and son) were selfish. i also thought the ending was too unrealistic. why the hell will preity and AB just say..."go get your love before its too late?" i know i will never say that...and i know others won't either IF you know how to be jealous but i'm sure everyone in the world is jealous at one point in their life. And also...i think that shahrukh khan's character should feel very very stupid...i mean his own mother chose to be apart of Preity's life, not his...its like she just abandoned her son. <<Karan Johar directed this film too...he's showing us a mother who leaves his son? what? but i thought Johar is all about loving his parents? anyways....the only good thing about this film to me is some of the scenes in the movie....the songs weren't that good...not really up to my standards. Too much partying in this movie...i dislike it. I'm more into traditional stuff.

I just watched this movie because of Shahrukh Khan...if he wasn't in KANK...I'd probably would of never heard of it.
