not even. in cc all you do is take classes and go home....

i mean people don't really "hang out" on campus they don't cage you in and force you to eat in the cafeteria.

but i must add that everywhere you go there will be cliques doesn't matter what stage of life you are at or where you are there will be cliques.

One of the major differences is that obviously, you don't get to live "on campus". Most people associate the college experience with dorm life. I know that some people commute to the regular colleges/universities, but there's still a residential area for students within the campus. The community college is just a school that you go to daily for classes. That's probably a big reason why it's being compared with high school.

But it's still college - more freedom + less restrictions than high school.
All the "cliques, drama, & BS" can be much more easily avoided, depending on the size of your CC and your maturity laugh.gif

cc is just going to be you going to classes and going home. you won't really notice much of the whole cliques thing and whatever because well people don't really hang out a lot around campus usually people just go home. well i'm not really sure because i've never been to cc but i'm guessing you're not really going to feel all that pressure to fit in and find your own niche. you'll probably feel more lonely than if you dormed at at a regular college but oh well i'm not dorming at my college so i feel that i'll be disconnected from the whole social aspect of college. i don't really know how i'll really make any friends since i'll just be going to school and then work after classes.

sometimes the university you intend to transfer to won't accept some of the credits so do your research on that as well.

i did not attend a "normal" public highschool; i went to a hick, private highschool....unaccreditted by the state of california...anywhos, so i'm going to be a 2nd year at community college, and i do feel like it's a chance of highschool all over again.

i will transfer by fall of 07...it feels like i have been given a second chance, and for everyone else who didn't make ti the first time, so we, 3rd year transfers, need it a bit easier..

Community college isn't all that fun, if I didn't have to go I wouldn't. You just go in and out. It's kind of hard to make new friends since they all have their old high school friends sticking around also. I guess in other words it's like going to a bigger high school, A LOT bigger.
