okay so two days ago it was fine and yesterday morning i turned my laptop down and in the afternoon i turned it on again, and it's really weird because the desktop doesn't show up (you know like the start buttons, and all the icons), and usually my task manager doesn't work and it works now, there was a pop-up and when i changed the address to google it works. it's really confusing can someone help me ASAP?

Did u tried scanning ur laptop for viruses first..

If not scan them using one of the softwares here..

It might be worthwhile to try to have the computer "start with the last known good configuration" as something may have become screwed up along the way. The easiest way to get that option is to turn off the computer while windows starts... You know you see the Windows XP and that scroll bar thing? Yeah, that thing shut it down or reset it there... the next time windows shows it, it will give you the optin to start with the last known good ocnfiguraiton, safe mode and all that fun stuff.

Might help, might not. Im bad at fixing windows startup problems.
