Is your brother on the same campus?
I know a LOT of schools block torrents and all P2P to avoid lawsuits and it would probably be the safest to avoid it if its possible.

But if your brother can use it correctly, its probably best to compare what you have or dont have.

Generally they would track traffic in and out, and http requests etc. And also prevent files with certan extensions. In other words, School/College/Uni internet access is usually filtered heavily...

If you're seeing an "Access Blocked" Screen, then the college itself would be blocking it, for reasons unknown to me tongue.gif There's not much you can do about it..

Access Blocked - Content Alert

The URL: http://isohunt.com/dl.php? was blocked

The site you are attempting to access blockedmime has been identified by the college's security system as a known source of security threats such as viruses, worms, spyware, or phishing/fraud.
If you need to access this site, please call Network Support at 718-677-6180 from 9am-5pm, or 718-758-8282 during other class hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. The college is working to automate this override process.

You should be VERY careful about the sites you visit. Many of these sites install invisible programs that track your keystrokes, redirect your ongoing web traffic through their servers, and allow others to control your computer. These types of threats pose a very real and often invisible danger to your privacy, to your data, and the operation of your computer. Once your computer is infected, it can also infect other campus computers.
