Hi there, well I'm trying to protect my work for the things I'm uploading, but have no idea how to permanently input a sign on the file showing that the movie file was uploaded by me on youtube and other sites..
Any guides/ or methods would be helpful =]

Does anyone know how to input a "sign" to a movie file sort of like subtitles, but ...

one way would be to use Virtualdub-Mpeg2 to do your encoding. While encoding, you can use a Virtualdub filter called Logo made by Donald Graft available here http://neuron2.net/logo/logo.html. Then you just need to design whatever logo you want in any paint program (like Adobe Photoshop) but just make sure you save it in .GIF format! It can be your name or whatever you want.
You can even make an animated GIF then use that to watermark your videos as well (if your photoshop skillz are up to the task). Animated GIFs that scroll across the screen are nearly impossible for someone to remove even if they REALLY wanted to steal your work. Worst they can do is cut off the top or bottom of the video (wherever you decide to place your watermark) but of course that cuts off part of the video as well as lower the quality of the video since they'll have to re-encode the video so haha to them.
Using the filter is fairly simple. You just need to learn how to use Virtualdub and virtualdub filters in general. Time to google for some good guides on how to use it! Good luck if you decide to go this route. It's what I use to watermark all my videos.
