I'm gonna be going off to college in a few weeks, and I want to hear what some of you think about your experience with schooling far away from home.
Did you like it?
Did you regret it?
Was it worthwhile?
Please share your thoughts.

do i like it? i LOVE it
do i regret it? not for a second
is it worthwile? on the contrary, the fact that i don't have to live at home is worth going to classes and doing papers and stuff
i've been away from home since i was 14, and i can't stand living at home for periods longer than a month... which should explain my enthusiasm...
if you've never been away from home, though, the first few weeks will probably be hard, but you'll make friends and get used to it and learn to love it... i promise.

I moved across the country for university and it was really hard at first but in the end I wouldn't change a thing. I got to meet people with completely different lifestyles than me and learn all about where they were from, as well as discover a new city and all it has to offer. There are times when I've regretted it because I miss my family and my friends back home, but more often than not I consider it a good experience. Helped me become a lot more independent.

Living on your own can be so much fun! My parents were very controlling throughout my life. I couldnt do this, couldnt do that, etc etc. So getting away from them was such a relief. I find myself a lot more relaxed and happy. I love meeting new ppl, trying out new things, and just finally living life without my parents guiding me everywhere.

I go to college two states away from home. I absolutely love it and it was probably one of the best decisions in my life. In the beginning it might be a little rough, but once you get over that, it will be great.

Did you like it? YES.
Did you regret it? NEVER.
Was it worthwhile? ABSOLUTELY.
my parents kept me on a short leash while growing up. couldn't do this or that, couldn't go out to hang out with friends [literally.. it was badddd]. moving out and going into a dorm gave me a lot more freedom and independence fom them, which was a good experience for me. i love it. seriously, i can't wait for school to start. =P
