are you looking for sound quality, bone shaking bass or a little mix of both?

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

^ in addition to the questions above, it'd be helpful to know what car this will go into (2dr, 4dr, trunk, hatchback etc)

a 10 inch JL will do it. That's if you really do care about SQ to a good extent. If, however, you care more about bumping it so loud that you'll feel it hitting your chest hard... then go for the 12 inch JL's instead. You lose out on the tight bass and a bit of SQ, but gain bass that hits your seat harder. Plus people will be able to hear your bass from farther away if your intention is to advertise your sound and grab attention.

Really though... the 10 inch JL would be perfect for a hatch.

JL is great. im putting a 12w6v2 in my g-sedan.

but yeah 10w6 would be good for you. if you want even more thump, w7's are a way to go

one of my friend bought 12" kicker sub, there were 2 subs in the vented box and the bass was boomin like there was no tommorrow and he only got it for 140$ but it was used.

So im guessin u could probably get sum nice kicker subs in the 200-400 range

and if ur lookin for an amp to go along with ur subs i have an alpine MRP-M450 i could hook u up with for a sweet deal. its never been used but it has been taken out of the box

i have junk for subs, but they do exactly what i want them to.

i have two 12" Dual subs in my trunk pushed by there little Dual 400w amp. All I wanted was a little extra bass because the bass in my car was pretty lacking, and it did exactly the thing. Now if you actually want to "bump" hard the speakers get very distorted very quickly when turning the bass level up on the amp.

they ran me under $200 for the entire thing (amp+subs) but it was at best buy at a day after thanksgiving sale.
