I apply there as well! I got an email from them saying that I have to update my application, did you do that? Also that my application will be processed during the winter semester instead of the fall semester that I original apply for.

I apply to numerous jobs, but I am not sure if any of them will contact me or I will get a job. I hope I do though.

EDIT* Once you move into your dorm, are you allow to move around the furniture? Like can you move your bed and your desk?

has anyone ever taken Econ 20A from prof. blake?
do we need to buy books for that class?
because i heard some teachers don't teach off from the books so i was wondering if i need to buy the book for that class.

My suggestion to you is to choose from one of two options:
A. Don't buy the book, wait until you've gone to a few lectures, and then decide whether you need it,

or

B. Buy the book, and if it turns out you don't need it, return it.

Both options work well; it's your decision smile.gif
The only advantage I can think of is if you buy the book and have reading assignments right away, you will be able to complete them. I took Econ 20A with a different professor and even though his lectures were completely different from the book, it still really, really helped me to have the textbook so I could clarify concepts I didn't understand or look up concrete definitions.

Technically, you're not allowed to, but people do anyways. As long as you move everything back to its original position then it's fine. They're not strict at all about it. (:

yeah. i still need to update it a little. i didn't put anything for my reference. i didn't know who to put because my past jobs were all tutoring jobs. private tutor. so i was self-employed? my brother told me to put my high school teachers on there. i'm doing fall quarter.

there is a ce fiore job opening in irvine? did you apply to that? i can't because i won't have a car.

I believe A-D is ground floor and E-H is top floor.

You should also be close to the science library.

yay, that's cool. =)

Question: What happens if one of your apt mates isn't attending UCI anymore. Does CV assign another person or is it just going to be just 3 people? Has anyone encounter this problem before?

I'm kind of bummed out cuz she was the only other Asian chick in rooming with us.

That sux, I have only one other asian girl too and im hoping to share the room with her. Do you know if they actually assign you to a room with a certain person or is it a free-fOr-all?

Im thinking that theyre gonna plug in someone new then. I remember I got a mail from UCI saying that they had so many people apply for dorms and were wondering if I might be interested in dorming on other locations like arroyo and such.

Yeah, I was thinking I could room with her too. I hope they assign another Asian girl or else I'll be out numbered. LOL
I was thinking it might be free for all. Now i'm just hoping to get a room by myself.

It's not too bad being outnumbered in your room. Think of all the non-Asians like myself that'll be outnumbered all over campus.

sad.gif The comments here make it sound like Asians and Non-Asians are completely different species that can't enjoy the same things, get along, or live together. I don't really get it...
