Hm... I'm a horrible packer. I can't decide if I should pack stuff into all storage bins, if I should use a suitcase at least one, or do a few boxes. I don't even know. ahhaha.

you don't need prom status dresses... but maybe something semi-formal.... like you would wear to homecoming? Because whether you're in a club, a dorm, a sport, or not in any sort of extracurricular activities at all, you're going to have at least one formal dinner/party during the school year.

lol, unless you're not going to be going home the entire year, I wouldn't worry about how many dresses to bring. Having one nice dress in Irvine is enough. If not, you can always go shop =P

EDIT* Okay a friend just asked me something and I am starting to doubt myself. Anyway the question has to do with the day that we start to attend our classes. It is on Thursday the 25th if we have classes that day right? The previous days before that are just the welcome stuff? Cuz I have classes from Monday-Friday. So for next week, i don't go to my classes until the 25th?

yepyep, classes don't start until Thursday so enjoy the welcome week stuff and try to go out to everything. Especially the club fair day or whatever it's called cause there will be tons of clubs and orgs you can check out..and free food from what i remember last year.

There's no way of knowing whether or not you go. Is it at the Bren? You basically just sit there and listen to them talk, then you get separated off depending on your major to listen to your dean talk.

im bringing my car, but havent paid for my parking permit yet =X kuz im waiting for financial aid to be disbursed on monday. can i buy it until then? will i be able to park my car over night til then?

^ Because of all the chaos during welcome week, they don't usually start towing/ticketing until Week 1.

i just attended the transfer orientation today...and yeah...it was kind of like a waste of time. it was so boring. sat on my ass for a long ass time and my muscles were starting to tense up. super uncomfortable. i tried to make a friend, but our convo died. its so hard to make friends. Anyone wants to meet up and be my friend? I'm so lonely.
also found out what campus village housing look like. when i got in there...i felt claustrophobic[especially the kitchen], that's all i have to say.

oh and also..where do u pick up the parking permit?
