had anyone tried downloading korean music? while living in the dorms? is just American music that they track down??????

I think it's not what type of music you're downloading, rather the methods you use to download them.

I download everything from megaupload, rapidshare, sendspace, zshare, etc...... and it's been working pretty good.

Avoid torrent. I don't even know if they can track you if you're using clubbox.

I need to get into a BIo97 class but they are all full except for one, which I already have another class in that time slot. What are the chances of people dropping out in the next two weeks?

Since Bio lectures are so big, chances of people dropping out are pretty big. It also depends what number you are on the waitlist..

Im sure it's okay. Because they don't check your license plate or anything, they only check your pass that you hang from your rear view mirror.

I know a couple of people who are actually switching cars weekly with the same permit.

er, are you sure? usually for bio classes though, people tend to drop when the first midterm rolls along. 97 is... genetics, right? o_O I think a lot of people will drop around then (that would probably be around the 3rd or 4th week?), but there should be a waitlist.... that's strange. as for the first two weeks, you can never say for sure :\

You can usually just drop off your mail wherever you get your mail. I know at Mesa there was an out-going mail slot and you just stick it in there. Or, there's a post office at the UTC. : )

I am very sure there's a FedEx box right outside the post office.

well, there's the post office at utc. you can go there...
or, if you don't want to leave campus, ask one of the office staff in your housing area. i'm sure they'll know.

I'm pretty sure they do. I wouldn't risk it. $30 fine I think?
actually, the fine's closer to $60. :x

So how are you guys liking life in CV?

I feel it get's quiet at times, but I've met some cool people and we try to get together often to have a good time. It's certainly not as bad as rumored. People are friendly, which is a plus.

I'm sure I've seen fellow soompiers around, and I'm positive i met one of you at the transfer social.

CV is so quiet when maintenance isn't making such a ruckus. I haven't met many people but have gotten really close with my room mates. I did go to an event in the Community Center where they grouped us by favorite tv shows, majors, whatever to get to know one another. Other than that, its incredibly bOring!

We don't really hang out or anything. They talk to me once in a while or I talk to them, but not long and personal conversations. Then they leave to go hang out with their friends. We don't really have anything in common too. On Sat one goes home, the other goes to her boyfriend's place...so throughout the day I'm home alone.
