I got a C+ (0.6 points away from a B- wtf U___U) in Math1A. Is that passing? And WC means workload credit and it was not calculated into my total units. What the heck does that mean? It's a prerequisite I took so I can eventually take Math2A.
NVM. I passed with an average. SIGH. ):
On the plus side, I have about 46 units completed. (:

I think you're on academic probation right now. If you're on it again for another quarter, you may get kicked out. I think you're okay for now, just make sure to improve your grades for the upcoming quarters!

I can't waitlist for this other humcore discussion because I would've exceeded my units according to webreg. Should I call the registrar and ask them if they could just put me on the waitlist?

no worries. i am 99.999% sure it does not mean that your friend has a higher chance of getting into irvine.
if you are really interested in going to irvine you should definitely try the stay over program. i'm sure you can find out more info about it on the uci website. i hosted a high school junior last year and we both had a blast. it's much more personal than a campus tour since you get to see how one of the dorms are before you move in as well as go to class with your host.

I have been trying to find some classes that will fulfill category IX requirement and this one seemed interesting. But I'm also not sure about the prerequisite... >_<;

I think they're just looking for students who know how to either use a darkroom for film photography and/or are familiar with digital photography. For digital equivalent of the darkroom, I would assume knowledge of some photo editing software? Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc.

I don't know about 1 and 3 but... you can buy web access directly on the aplia site. I'm pretty sure you just need the course code.
Also, does anyone know about the Category IX requirement? If you want to do that by study abroad, does it HAVE to be through EAP or can it be travel study or volunteering abroad as well? Because those are a lot more affordable for me ._.;

2. The aplia itself is $80. There's an online version of the text (comes with aplia) and also, if you buy the book and aplia at the bookstore, it's $88 (tax included). I'm currently taking 20A right now. (:
3. I just ordered a MGMT 30A book from half.com (part of ebay.com) and expedited the shipping and it comes out to around what other students are selling it for on the FB site. It's cheaper than Amazon (which is another good place to get books).

When transferring from a JC, did you guys just complete the IGETC and the major prep for your major in order to transfer or is there more that I have to do?

I have Vaughn right now and all I can say is: boring! Her lectures are average but most of the time after one topic, she'll go into an experience and talk about that for a while. I just sorta phase in and out.
Not saying her lectures aren't important, but the midterm is chapters 1-9 and the final isn't cumulative. Just read the book and you should be fine. Actually, I should be reading now!
