I'm thinking about going to UCI. I'm pretty sure I can get in.. (but I have backup in case I don't)
So of the people I talk to, the people at UCI seem to be happiest. What I mean is.. Everyone always has something good to say about the school and hardly anything bad. Not that that's a bad thing! But I want to get a balanced opinion before I make a decision so I was wondering what are some things you don't like about your school? (You can say things you like too if you want :])

Well, I'll actually make a list here hahah.
Good:
1. Good environment for studying.
2. Clean!
3. Fairly decent weather.
4. There are interesting events that happen once in a while, but not so often that it makes you tired.
5. Low crime rate.
Bad:
1. Quiet on weekends. Too quiet. Gets sort of creepy. Not to mention BORING.
2. Not many places to walk to... unless you want to eat In'n Out, Trader Joe's, or Cha.
3. You can't bike on the freaking huge Ring Road. T___T
4. You need a car to go anywhere fun.
5. So many police everywhere. The parties get broken up by 11pm.
Anyone else in their 2nd year or higher could add to this.

The balance on Zot Account is for tuition (all your classes combined). If you have a lab, an additional $50 will be added to your account in the first or second week of school I think. There are also a couple other courses that require an extra fee - I don't remember which ones though... they should have a "fee required" abbreviation on websoc under restrictions.

From what I recall, the bookstore website never had the ISBN x_X like for HumCore, I had to find the ISBN #'s from the HumCore website
The website SHOULD, however, indicate which edition it is. If that's not available either, you should just play it safe and buy it at the UCI bookstore
.book ♥ readings for: hk society, hk social policy, social geography, globalization & information society....... fun times.
.tv shows ♥ gossip girl; how i met your mother; the office; grey's anatomy; 30 rock
.music ♥ kings of leon; late night alumni; the hush sound; slumdog millionaire soundtrack

they changed the layout of the coursebook look ups this year, so you can no longer find the ISBN numbers (it was actually a little tricky to find). but yeah, you only need the edition. if you have chem though, theres a website with the ISBNs needed too.

I hope this makes sense to you guys -
1. Find & add the books at the bookstore website like you would normally do.
2. Then go to your cart and click "edit".
3. This should bring you to a page that lists the books you've added for a specific course.
4. Right click on the window and go to "View Page Source". Another window should pop up.
5. Hit Ctrl+F and search for the titles of the books you're looking for.
6. Once you've found the title, there should be something that looks like <a id="#############"> near it. That's your ISBN number!
7. Go to half.com / amazon.com / wherever you wish to order your books and enter the ISBN number.
If you need an example - for me: I looked up books for Bio97. When I went to "View Page Source", I searched for "Essential Genetics" and a couple lines above it was this - <a id="9780763735272"> . PM me if you guys have trouble finding it.

dang girl! niiiice job. I can't believe the bookstore website is so hard to work with, that the students had to find ways by looking through lengthy HTML codes -__-

Um... YOU'RE SO AWESOME!!!
Seriously. Just watch, next year or the year after, they're going to make it so we can't find the ISBN AT ALL. X___X

I'm assuming you're living in the dorms. Were you trying to install Cisco Clean Acess Agent? I THINK it's because you're on Vista, and you probably need a certain update/add-on for the installation to work. I would call/go to Resnet for help. I'm not too sure though.
Here's the Resnet site...
