Anyone know what really happened to Haruto in the end?

In my opinion it seems as though the director wanted to convey that Haruto recently died. Because when the main character was playing basketball alone in heaven (no others she knew died) Haruto showed up because he also died, and she greeted him with a smile.

I wouldnt think he died. I think its just reminiscence dream of how much he misses her.

It was weird how her sisters, brother, and Haruto weren't there at her grave at the very end.

I'm still confused about the ending. Weird how it was "5 years later" all of a sudden.. but i thought the part where it was her in "heaven" was actually a dream she was having after Haruto read to her.. and to foreshadow her death.

I love this drama. >_< it's also my first non-korean drama that I've cried so muchh for. It's so inspirational when she tries so hard in the rehab thing.

aaaaaahhhh. i watched this movie....last month. oh yeea! thanksgiving break cuz i watched it evvvverydayyyy for....however many days.

i cried so much when her sister was asking her brother why he was ashamed of aya. gosssshhhhh.

the fact that this is a true story also makes me sad :'( i cried....way more than a litre of tears . lol.

just what I was thinking.. in my opinion, it's kind of like Heaven. She's playing basketball, running and walking freely because that's all she ever wanted to do but when she found out about her disease she can't do anyting. So I guess at the end she was able to do that... run and walk freely... smiling.. and Asou Haruto was there to watch her... being happy.

But the fact that it's based on a true story makes it all so very.. emotional.

And the fact that the real Aya never had a guy like Asou in her life makes me admire her so much for being such a strong person!

I SO have to make my mom watch this. XD Because since she mostly watches korean dramas, she has to watch this!~

It is a true story. The only fictional thing is Ryo. There really wasn't a "Ryo" in her life; her mom just wanted the people to put that in because her daugther never had the chance to fall in love.

There's pictures at the end of the credits and quotes from her diary~ How did you still think it was fictional? ._.; It's awesome~

I was recommended by a friend and when I started watching, I cried (episode 1)
until the very end of the show, i was cried during every episode!
it is definitely a best drama I ever watched!

the part where i really really cried a lot was the christmas episode. from the part where she started her speech to the part where her sister was asking his dad to take a family picture..
