mmm.. it wouldn't be much of an improvement...
what is ur budget?
what is ur budget?
We all wear masks. Everyone, everyday... sometimes we wear them so much, we forget who we really are. And sometimes if we're lucky, someone comes along and shows us who we really want to be, who we should be.
Tumblrrr.

I wouldn't bother because it's only an incremental improvement over the 5200. Not worth wasting ~$60 for considering you probably won't even notice any real difference. It's better to save a bit more money and at least get a video card around $100 [assuming you want to stick with budget cards] for MUCH higher performance than what you're getting now.

If you can , try and fit a 9800 Pro in your budget . I think it still has some life in it (but definately not for next year)

u want a video card for gaming? price range? try 6800GS
If I had to take a wild guess, he probably needs a new AGP card, considering that he has a two year old 5200. 6800GS only supports PCIe.
Anything in the GeForce 6600/ RadeonX700 range would be a good upgrade. It's a big improvement, but nothing over the top. You should be able to play your games two or three resolutions higher than you did with your 5200.

Well, last time I heard it was only availible for PCIe, and that was a while back. They may have made an AGP version, but I'm not to certain on this matter.

^eh? i thought the 6800GS comes in agp?
Yep, it comes in AGP as well. Just dug it up from mwave and it's $99 flat. Only problem is, it's an open box which explains the -$10 from original price.
Still though, these 6800s are a good bargain.

What's the rest of your system? Even if you do go with the 6800GS, you might not see that much improvement if you're held back in other areas.

an ati radeon x850xt isnt that bad
MINE seems pretty bad ass. 115 bucks (Damn Newegg price drop) made it even better.
I can run at great settings with 2 gigs of RAM.
