Hahah, yeah.. SanDisk is a brand..

However, I take it you mean SecureDigital cards (SD) -> SanDisk is generally the best brand anyway tongue.gif

More or less a matter of price really. I have a 1gb "Omni"-brand SD card, which was around 2/3 the price of the equivalent SanDisk card.. though it's probably not as good (seems to be stalling my mp3 player every now and then, though unsure if that's the mp3 player itself...)

SanDisk can store data, but not that much. Most I would say is like 1GB or maybe a few more gigs, but not enough for serious data storage like backing up a computer.

I suggest buying an external harddrive. 40GB to 100GB can range from $100 to $200. If you have a big harddrive with important info, these are great for backing up.

hey, first just wanna thank everyone for helping me out

i don't need something that can store a lot of data.....lol.....i'm not downloading music, Kdrama or anything
i already have my laptop for that.........hahaha

i just need like 1 or 2 GB to download college classnotes (powerpoints and stuff) so i can keep them for future use but i can carry it w/ me anywhere, you know
i tried floppy disks but one disk can only hold about 5 powerpoint presentations........hahaha
at that rate, i might need 100, which is why i'm looking for something that sorta like that and i hear about sandisk and stuff so i'm looking into it

i just don't know which brand is good and whether i should get the 250MB something or 1GB or 2GB

is there a difference? the higher the bytes, the less reliable?
i'm thinking about a 2GB, but i don't know which brand
is a 1GB more reliable than 2GB?

sooooooooooo.......confused!!!!!!!!!

i have used PNY ram in a computer before. It's held up fine. I personally try to go for the SanDisk because they usually are the most compatible with every device. I own a Kingston 2GB 50x compact flash that I use in my DS to run homebrew off of and it has also treated me fine. I've heard good things and bad things about all different sorts of brands, you just need to research them and see if they are compatible in the device you are going to use them in. They will always be compatible with a computer (i have yet to see one that's not).
