I dunno if they were mentioned before, but Superbus and Malajube are really cool.

Superbus is a female vocal pop rock band from France and Malajube is an all guy band from Canada.

Some French bands I really like are Kyo, Madame Kay, and Mickey3D. My French teacher showed us in class. XD She's also showed us Cali, La Grande Sophie, Dalida, Les Nubians, and some others, and I think they're alright. Not GREAT, but their songs are nice (:

Songs I recommend?
Comment te dire - Kyo
Plaisirs solitiaires - Madame Kay
Pour une minute de plus - Madame Kay
La mort du peuple - Mickey3D
Le chemin - Kyo ft Sita

I think they're pretty oldish songs, but they're pretty good ones.
if i fly high, maybe she'd smile a little._____________________soeul-mate fifty-four.

Hmm. I don't really know any French songs/artists, but how about La Nuit by Robots in Disguise (they're actually a British band or something, but the song's completely French) and anything by Yelle. Lol, Yelle's lyrics...

I'm a HUGE Annie Villeneuve fan, and have found listening to artists singing in French has helped me improve my French a lot (it's been about 14 years since I did it at high school!).

Does anyone on here have the lyrics to Annie's newest album as I cannot find ANY of them on the net????

i've been getting into French music lately and i love Yelle and Superbus, i don't really like Katy Perry, but the Yelle remix to her song Hot n Cold is awesome!! its been stuck in my head for weeks!

I really recommend Yelle's album Pop Up, it has a lot of great songs and they are very catchy

and Superbus is fun too, kinda girly but i find myself singing along even though i have no idea what im singing, its that fun to listen to!

There are bands or artist who are more specific from the french wave, all the post are related to R&B or pop singers, but, try to listen to :

Noir Désir
Louise Attaque
La Rue Kétanou
Mano Solo
Cali
Bénabar
Juliette

that's another style :P LOL

i was surfing french mvs on youtube,
and i came across MARC ANTOINE.
his song 'Comme il se doit' is soooo good.
i went back to learning french cause of his songs.
they remind me of a Neyo ish sound.
well, at least this is the kinda music that i like.
i know it is not the most updated song, but j'aime toujours :)
