for those who use samsung phones that support mp3/video playback (particularly D500/X700):
can the titles of mp3/video files be displayed in chinese text, even though the menus are in english?

do most samsung phones have this ability?

if you buy it in US then no. if you buy it in china, then probably. most phones bought in the US only work in english, spanish, or french.

but i'm not talking about what languages your phone can change to, but whether the titles of files can be shown in chinese text.

my brother has a slvr L7 that was bought in the US, and it has no chinese language option on the phone. but still it was able to display mp3 titles in chinese text.
so yeah, i was wondering if samsung phones like D500/X700 can do that as well sleep.gif

depends what region you get your phone from, and if it doesnt, you can always swap out the firmware for firmware from that region. My D600 was from the middle eastern region, so it can display english, turkish, arabic etc. I changed it to the south east asia firmware, so it can now display chinese, viet etcc, you just have to either have it from the right region or do a firmware mod.

So you bought the special cord with the 9v battery attachment? Where did you get it? I've been looking for a decent place to get one here in the US, since some of the new custom firmwares really fix a few of the issues with this phone.
