Its a touch sensor phone by Samsung with better functions than the LG Chocolate. I heard that Samsung came up with the idea of the touch sensor phone first, but LG took that idea and released their product first to the masses.

- The camera is 2.0 mega pixels, the mp3 player is awesome (with the headphones, the sound seems more crisp than on my iPod).

- The screen is pretty hot too. It's brighter and clearer than the LG Chocolate display. It has a micro-SD card slot where you can slide in a 1 Gig memory stick. And you're probably going to need atleast 1 gig if you plan on taking a crap load of pictures and watching music videos, clips, anime, whatever on the phone.
Dunno if the E900 is compatible with the 2 gig microSD stick though.

- the E900 looks sleek as hell, and it feels comfortable in my hand. I got a really good 'deal' on this phone, which is the only reason I have this baby wink.gif the Chocolate, to me, looks like an iPod, so I wasn't really blown away by the design.

- It has its little flaws, like no ring+vibe mode and the headphone, charger and usb jack go all in the same port (!!!) But even with these little quirks, I love this phone. It has style and substance, unlike the Chocolate which is all style.

- btw, the touch sensor does take some time getting use to as your fingers can brush against the soft keys by accident and this will bring you to the T-Mobile screen , after about a week of playing around with the phone, the sensor keys aren't an issue anymore.

my friend has the phone, very impressive ^^ alot better than chocolate imo, i think LG should have put more time in fixing the small things (ie no speakerphone)

niiice, how much u get it for around?

i just got the chocolate, i agree with you on the functions... but i have an ipod, so i dont need mp3 functions hehe. the camera could be better, and there is no speaker phone either but the chocolate does have ring + vibe. i like the design very much.. and i think i got mine for a pretty good deal. so i think it's worth it.

The E900 right now is only available in Europe (its not even available in Korea) hence the standard military time on the display. I was able to get the phone for 100 with a 2 year contract.

A couple of things the Chocolate has over the E900:

- Chocolate can use a 2 gig MicroSD stick
- the touch sensor is supposedly a little bit more responsive
- and a better mp3 player

You're right. That review is a bit outdated but the one that's being released for Verizon has a memory card slot, which a 2 gig microSD stick is compatible with.

btw, another cool little feature with the E900 is that you can hide the mp3 player in the background while doing other stuff, and no stupid T-Mobile sticker plastered on the phone either smile.gif

wow, 1 gig onboard memory is insane. I just googled the phone and while the V940 may have 1 gig on onboard memory, it lacks a microSD slot and it has a 1.3 megapixel camera instead of 2.0 megapixels.

btw, it looks like there's a bit too much going on in the center button and the unnecessary symbols along with the 'june' logo makes it seem a lot more cluttered.

The E900 has been granted approval by the FCC so this phone could come out stateside in the Fall or when Xmas season begins.

on the carrier, I'm guessing T-Mobile.

Here are the two themes for the phone:

i believe the D900 is the best samsung phone out there.
it competes with the nokia n73 and se k800.

the D900 is probably the best one out there in terms of features. From the pics I've seen, I wish they changed the design a little. If it looked exactly like the D600, while keeping the slimness, then it would probably be the best overall samsung phone out there, imo.

^True, the only reason why i didn't sold my D600 to get the D900 was the design. I really hate the bottom part of the phone
