I actually don't like any of her albums from Butterfly and on (including Rainbow and Emancipation of Mimi). But ALL her albums before Butterfly had great songs that I've been loving for YEEEARS. hard to choose because my all-time favorite Mariah songs were scattered on lots of albums like Emotions, Music Box, etc.

i love all her albums.My favourite probably would be Music Box, and Daydream and her current one emancipation of mimi was pretty good too...
I didn't like Charmbracelet & Glitter too much though...

butterfly and all the albums that came before it were the best in my opinion. i dont really care for any of her newer albums in their entirety. i dont even have most of her new albums. i have the old tapes lol

music box is a classic!!! its the first cd i ever bought =]
emancipation of mimi was really good too though

The Emancipation of Mimi, I am sorry she freaked that album, she gave it her best.
I killed that album already, I can't get enough of it.
But Butterfly was great also, those two are the best

Daydream is the album with the best production, very very well done. Butterfly had some of the best lyrics she's ever done, although it was also when she started doing more of a whisper-y kind of singing. Vocally, she sounded really amazing in her Music Box album (it's also her best selling). The Emancipation of Mimi is her best when it comes to actually being mainstream. Mainly because although she switched to full on pop as opposed to adult contemporary with her Daydream album, a lot of the production still sounded like adult contemporary (for example "Honey" off of "Butterfly," "Thank God I Found You" from Rainbow, the entire Charmbracelet CD). Glitter was the best at being ahead of its time. Although Glitter was pretty much panned by the fans when it came out, if you listen to the CD, a lot of the songs off of it would be hits if they had been released a year or two ago instead of five years ago.

For me it's between Emacipation or Daydream. I know I wore the Daydream album out. It's got so many scratches on it.

I don't think she has a best albums..All her albums only have like a few good songs and the rest are blah..but i guess that goes for every other singers out there..
