I've been mistaken for every kind of asian except Korean, which is funny. This one person came up to me and asked me what ethnicity I was and I told them to guess. They got half of me right, I'm half Japanese. Then they started listing other things when I told them I'm also something else- Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Thai, Laotian!, and some other countries. Finally, I got tired of them listing others, even ones that are non-asian, and told them I was half-Korean. Apparently they forgot Korea existed. "OH RIGHT, Korea!" I thought it was both sad and hilarious. xD

i usually get the you look korean thing or another asian country, but i don't get that i'm chinese when im 100% chinese. I think it might be becuase i live in a central american country and all the chinese they see are usually yellow skin, small eyes, and black hair; and since i have white skin, round eyes, and a dark brown hair they dont consider me chinese....

I'm Vietnamese, people always ask me if I'm Chinese or they already assume, tsktsk stereotypes. People really need to learn more about Asian cultures. I'm been asked if I'm Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indian, Mexican by people who know me, and I NEED to point out that my first/last name don't really categorize in those countries.
