I'm Laotian. Proud to be too, but people mistaken me for being Eastern asian or sometimes they don't even know what kind of ethinicity I am (do I have no origin??) 0_o

Most people can tell I'm Chinese, but some think I'm mix.
Chinese and white, which I kinda am cause my, i don't know how many great's , great-grandmother is white.
My brother gets mistaken most for being white and looking like Harry Potter, when he was young LOL

I'm Chinese and Vietnamese but people can't really pinpoint any nationality to describe me.
So they'll say something random like Malaysian or say that I just look asian.

i was about to post a thread like this. good thing i didnt ^^ i get so irritated i never realized i looked so mixed to people.

this is what i get: korean, chinese, thai, japanese,viet, & white. as of right now i think that all X] nobody thinks im full anything. they all think im mixed even when i tell them they deny it.

haahhaha i find that the asian community usually dont really know what i am, heck sometimes i get confused at what i am too.

i get comments like

"korean? japanese? thai? but never full chinese. 0.0
"im not even gonna try and guess what ethnicity you are"

or if i go to china they're like "are you korean?!"


even though im CHINESE / INDONESIAN!

maybe its just because Indonesian kind of sounds like korean in some ways . and probably because indonesian is so out there..most people dont really even know its a country. ><"!

Usually it's Middle eastern, Mexican, or Indian.
I am from Bangladesh and no one has EVER guessed that.

Right off the bat, people say I'm Chinese or Filipino.
Whenever I hear I'm Chinese, I go "WHAT? How do you get that?"
because I don't look Chinese at all, my eyes are huge and I'm too dark.

ages ago some ppl thought i was japanese. funny thing was it was japanese ppl who thought i was that haha.

I say i kinda do look korean. i sometimes look like hyun ah (ex-member) of wonder girls,
and sometimes(at different angles) i look like so ji sub. O_O (LOL female so ji sub) Im being serious. I really do look like them sometimes. I have high cheek bones...and my lips looks korean.

and a lot of koreans talk in korean to me/family when we go to a korean mart. Han Mi mart.

LOL I get SUPER happy when someone mistakens me as a korean/japanese!!!!!! I myself is a korean wannabe, so i wanna try to look more korean, maybe i should dress like most koreans? keke
