people tend to generalize so the first thing that they say is,"are you chinese?"

then when i say no they're like,"are you japanese?"

then i say no and then they finally give up and i have to tell them that i'm from korea.

then they ask,"north or south?" *sighs*

I'm Korean. People have thought that I looked Japanese or Chinese (usually only non-asian people think this). I think most people have told me I look straight up Korean though.

thats okay for me, since i am japanese! =D

but i hate it when people just try to guess what my ethnicity is.
like just because i am asian, most of the time they think i'm chinese.

I'm Vietnamese. Early on, people would always ask me if I was chinese. Then they asked me if I was korean or japanese. Lately, people wonder if I'm Phillipino. Even Phillipinos ask me if I'm Phillipino.

One hispanic guy came up to me and said, "Are you hispanic?"

Hehehe, well usually if you get mistaken as Filipino (It's not "Philippino") you have a chance of being mistaken as Mexican or Spanish since we have oddly almost the same features. A little history: the term "Filipino" were originally used by Philippine born Spanish while the natives where called aboriginals.

for my confirmation at church we had a filippino minister person and he thought that me and my dad were korean and my mom adn sister were japanese!~XD

I'm half-Japanese and half-Dutch. Almost everybody guesses half-Chinese and half-European. I grew up in a very white-dominated area however, so all Asians were automatically considered Chinese.
