But otherwise they think I look like everyting.
I've been called Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, everything lol!

Nowadays, because I re-got bangs (sort of full / wispy?), my friends keep saying I look Japanese. ._.
But when I tie up my hair, they just say "Oh my god, you look so Asian!"
Bah, I'm Vietnamese and partly Chinese.

I get most mistaken for korean and filipino, but I don't really care^^ I just correct them. Also, other chinese people mistake me for japanese all the time or some kind of half. I have no idea why, haha.

well there's hardly any east asians in my area apart from a few chinese ppl so people would just usually ask if im chinese (and i am)
some ask if im chinese or japanese...
some just ask where im from

The other day this random girl came up to me and asked, "Are you Mongolian?"
I said no and she was like "Ohhhhh! Konnichiwa!"

I mean...the hell? If I'm not Mongolian, i must be Japanese?
Do the Japanese and Mongolians even look alike?

when i was like 5-10 yrs old people told me i looked indian...

then in high school they told be i looked black and chinese

and some random guy i was takling to at the library told me he thought i was part korean because my head is big... i was just like (a black man that saw me in the asian books section of the library thought it was interesting that i was reading korean books.. and he was asking me when did i get interested in asian cultures and stuff.. then he started speaking vietnamese to me - he's been teaching vietnamese for 9 years. then he started asking me about my family background.. when i told him Irish he said "yeah.. i can see your freckles." when i told him indian he said "i can see it in your cheeks" then i said Chinese and that's when he made that Korean comment lol.)

but i am mixed with all of those things (minus korean)

I get alot of people asking if im chinese. but thats cause i live in such a white school that they wouldn't be able to tell the difference between any asians anyway.

And then a couple of asian girls asked me if i was half white and half korean. (that was nice, cause i tend to think that half and halfs are generally really pretty and exotic looking)

lol! i'm unsure if i've answered in this topic already or just one similar to this but yes...tons of times..too many to count in which i've been mistaken for another ethnicity...i think every asian has...and the stereotypical question would be
"are you chinese?"-->lol! no offense to the chinese but it is true every asian gets asked that question if you're chinese or not...but i've been mistaken as a korean girl when i was younger. just because i had pale skin? now that i've got my tan i'm mistaken for being thai...i guess we're all family
