Y'know, how can people tell what race someone is - Asian wise? I can always tell who's from who, but when people ask me how I can tell others apart, I don't know how to explain it. o_o

i ve been told numerous times i look korean. although i m interested in korean culture and such, i feel a bit insulted. i m chinese, its pretty obvious in my opinion. my last name doesnt sound chinese so that also leads people to assume i m not chinese so they pick korean.

i could also tell asians apart from one another. i dont know how to describe it to other people though. its just by watching all those series, you start seeing certain characteristics of different asians.

I've gotten: Jamaican-Chinese, Cambodian, Cambodian-Chinese, Malaysian-Cambodian, African-Korean, Indian-Filipino-Chinese, and Afghanian. o.o lol

i usually get Korean, Cambodian, Filipina, and Puetro Rican.
i can understand people mistakening me for Cambodian and Filipina. the Korean and Puetro Rican ones were random.

As for me, I get it almost every person I meet!
and it's not that i look chinese, it's that there
are not a lot of asian people where i live and
so people are unaware that appreantly not every
asian person is chinese!

because your eye are like that. Can you speak chinese? Tell me something in chinese!"

i'm filipino. people think i pass as japanese. most probably because i don't fit in with the stereotype of most filipinos with tan skin and spanish/chinese features.

I'm one of about three people in my entire town that looks ethnic at all. So, pretty much, people call me Chinese or Asian, because to the citizens of my town China is the only country in Asia. I think it's kind of funny, even if it is pretty sad that no one I know's really been exposed to other cultures and races.
