Yes, I know most Frosh Weeks haven't happened yet, but I want to know what your university/program/college has planned for you =) And when they do happen, please post your experiences ^^

I'm at York University, Founder's College. (I'm copy+pasting it straight from the website...Too lazy sweatingbullets.gif)

Frosh Week 2006 Activities

Move in

Founder’s college student council shows you how nice we are by helping you carry all your stuff to your room. Its an amazing sight to see really. You pull up, and magically frosh bosses appear to help you get your residence room keys and carry all your fridges and microwaves to your room. You get your frosh gear, give mommy and daddy a kiss goodbye and have the choice of helping other frosh move in or unpack.

College Tours

Throughout the day, frosh bosses and student council will give guided tours of the college to early commuters or rezzies. These tours provide great opportunities to meet frosh and get acquitted with the college. Hang out in the Lounge or the Senior Commons Room.

Ice Breakers

You’re new to York and Founders and surrounded by all these random but strangely attractive people. Its time to start getting to know them, how u ask? With old school games of course! Commuters Welcome!

Rez / Commuter Meeting

Mandatory residence meeting, here you learn all the rules of the residence. Important stuff. Commuters we haven’t forgotten about you, while the rezzies are having their meeting, student council will answer all of your commuter questions, and show you all the hotspots on campus! (sorry rezzies)

Big Time BBQ

It’s been a long day, filled with emotion and intrigue, well, mostly with moving in and games. So by this point your hungry and probably wanting some food.

Academic Orientation

York (not us) begins their quest to get you to be the best students you can be! Lunch included…

Opening Ceremonies

Here we teach you our cheers and really make you a part of the Founders United Tradition. Our cheers are so hot we don't even want to put them on the web! No one does Opening Ceremonies the way Founders does, you have to see it to believe it. Also, here we unleash the insane founders dance “THE FU”…Its crazy, the whole thing is crazy.

York at Night Tours

Not your regular run of the mill tour. First thing we go where you wanna go. So if you wanna know where the Curtis Lecture Hall is, we will take you. We'll take you to all the cool places on campus as well as places you need to go. Only question is, will you remember what these building look like in the day?

Toga Workshop

Get ready for our Annual toga party, bring your bed sheets if you like, but we will be giving you some, so don’t worry.

Toga Party

Meet us in the Quad, and be ready. This year our toga party is going to have a surprise twist!

Water War !

Remember what it was like to have water fights with your two cousins and lil brother? Erase that idea from your mind, This is war against all of Complex 1! We’re giving each college time to prepare plots and plan for the most epic battle founders field and York has ever seen. So bring an extra set of clothes and any super soakers you might have!

Downtown Photo Challenge

A frosh favorite! Each frosh group gets a map of downtown Toronto, a list of pictures they have to take. For example (picture of a celebrity, pic with food, pic of a government sign, pic involving police, and more. You can make the pictures as creative as possible. Pictures will be developed the same day so you can see what you came up with. Teams with the most creative pictures will win prizes. Also while downtown, you and your group will have the opportunity to see some of the sights downtown Toronto has to offer.

“So You Think You Can Dance”

A dance competition where the frosh have the chance (only if you want) to challenge the frosh bosses in front of judges. This is the time to show off your dancing skills! After our small competition we will have various dance instructors to teach you to really dance salsa, hip hop and belly dancing.

La Fiesta

It’s a jam that is a continuation of “so you think you can dance” You can show off all your hot new dance moves. It will feature the soul train, the limbo and the Macarena!

Canada's Paramount Wonderland (theme park)

Nuff Said.

Wake-a-thon

The wake-a-thon is a big event where frosh and bosses stay up all night
without falling asleep. The bosses will be given water guns to wet any frosh they find sleeping. All frosh who manage to stay up for the whole twelve hours will have their names entered in a draw to win a prize. There will be games, food, a jam, coffeehouse etc … to keep everyone entertained.

The Love Boat

The official last night of Founders Frosh week. Join us for an amazing night of dinner and dancing. The only way to end a perfect week. After we get back, you can chill if you want at the bull. We‘ll definitely be there, maybe we’ll run karaoke. Who knows?

Oh, and we might go to Wasaga Beach =D Anyway, I'm excited for Frosh Week...What is planned for you guys?! ^^

I'm going to be at York university as well, but I'm part of Winters College. The things planned for frosh week include: boat cruise, Canada's Wonderland trip, CN Tower trip, beach parties and other stuff.

But, I doubt I'd do all the activities planned =P
