the red paint on my car was turning into this chalky magenta color so i had to fix it. the whole five hours i just massaged product onto my car and wiped it off. this car is sixteen years old and the red looks so nice now

if u buy / or have an old car, there is hope! i just hope it doesnt go back to its old state.

tah dah! i love my car (:

and thanks to zygote55 from your scion tc forums cause he's the one that explained how to do this.

the products i used were
dish detergent
meguiars gold class shampoo
turtlewax polishing compound
meguiars deep crystal polish
turtle wax ice polish
meguiars NXT generation tech wax
and a whole lot of micro fiber towels

i think the polishing compound is what did it. the rest just made it super shiny.

its a LOT of work, but i thought id just share my adventure with you.

now that is freakin' nice... at first I thought it was a new paint job until I saw the list of products and specifically the polishing compound.

You polished the car by hand and got results like that? I did a 15 year old Saab with single stage paint by PC and Poorboy's SSR2.5 and got similar results.

Wow, that looks really nice with the comparison pictures. I can't believe how shiny you got it in just 5 hours. Thats how long it took me last time just to do 1 side of my 240sx. It alot of work I know that, something I would be showing off as well. Very good job!

Very nice restoration...if that was done by hand, definitely impressive. I've been using a PC for my polishing but thinking of going up to rotary. You should look into a PC (if your not using one) and it might take you less then 5 hours.

Same here, I'm ordering a Makita 9227 soon.
