never hurts to apply but that gpa is low... hope you got extracurriculars and a good personal statement.

is it harder for oos students to get in?

So from the rest of the applicants (oos and exchange students), they may be a little picky. Like andy said, 2.5 gpa is pretty low for a high school cumulative. your SAT scores aren't that bad, but honestly i hope you have a lot of impressive extracurriculars or it's going to be kinda difficult to get in.

The department I'm with is hiring and the job is entry-level. If you're hired, you'd work with me at the Health Sciences building. Starting pay is $8.75/hr and it involves office work.
Let me know if you're interested.

i think the only thing that sucks about terry/lander is how far away they are... and the food isn't that great.

Doan... would you happen to be related to a Deanna Doan (i know there's probably like hundreds of Doans at UW lol)?
Yeah they look at senior grades. But more than grades, they look at what classes you were taking. You can get away with sub-par grades as long as you had a high level of difficulty in classes. Like AP, Honors, IB etc.

I lived there last year.
The pluses:
You get your own bathroom and kitchen, which is a pretty good size
A custodian comes in and cleans (vacuum, cleans the toilet and shower, etc) every week
It's obviously bigger
I think there's more privacy in a sense because you don't really have RAs patrolling the halls
The minuses:
The bedroom is insanely small. Do you know how many roomies you have? I had three, so there were four girls total in one bedroom.
Thin walls; you can hear everything that your neighbors are doing (and I mean EVERYTHING)
Winter time is terrible because you have to walk to Terry in the cold/rain/snow just to get food
Overall, I enjoyed living there. I think I would prefer living there over living in a dorm.
