me too! 29/30 orientation!
i have a question about dorming though, before the july 1st deadline... I signed up to be in Haggett... is there any way to make sure I don't get stuck on a single gender floor? I vaguely remember having a choice when i applied for dorms... but when i go back to edit, i don't see any choice... what are the chances I might end up in a single gender floor on haggett... cause i really don't want to be, haha.

My advice would be to find your department advisor (if you know your major) and talk to them about the major, and a 4-year plan with them... rather than the general advisors. Much more helpful!
@abyssesour Yeah there's a ton of piano's around UW and music rooms. Each dorm has one I believe, and some lounges have grand pianos.

haha, im starting to get scared....
i would say that august 27/28 is a pretty late date. mine was july 11/12 last year and some of the classes i wanted were already full. i would see if i could get into another A&O but if not, make sure you take a look at the time schedule and figure out many different schedules in case some classes are full, etc. good luck!

However, if you want you can use this: Metro Trip Planner (click). The final destination you want to be at is: Stevens Way & Benton Ln., which is right in front of the HUB (Husky Union Building). It'll give you what buses to take and times.
Epik High concert = fun

This is probably too late by now but I'll type it out for future reference.
Your parents could park and ride to the Federal Way Transit Center
Head to bay 7 and take the 194 which will go all the way to the transit tunnel in Seattle. Note that the tunnel is only open until 1 AM except Sunday open until midnight.
Head to bay A and board the 71, 72, or 73 and they will take you to campus.

I think that's the route I saw from the Metro route planner thing.
I might just drive and park at E1 because I have to be there at 9:30 for my placement and I don't want to get on the bus at 7. Hahaha xD

My brother who goes to the U told me that the best place to park is at the Montlake parking lot. He says it's the one with the cheapest parking, (because I don't think there's free parking anywhere). It's best if you can find some people to carpool with to split the parking costs. That what i'm planning to do with my friends. There's a bridge next to the Montlake parking lot that will lead to straight to campus (or so my brother says).

Two or more faculty or staff members, or one faculty/staff member and two students, may form occasional carpools anytime. Purchase a daily U-PASS carpool permit from any gatehouse by presenting each carpool member’s Husky Card™ to the Traffic Guide. Each carpooler's card must have a valid U-PASS sticker and money on each Husky Card™ Account. Each person is charged an equal portion of the $1.02 per carpool fee. No cash payments are accepted.
Parking for occasional carpools is available on upper campus at:
* Central Plaza Garage ( enter at NE 41st and 15th Ave NE)
* N5 (enter at NE 45th and Memorial Way)
* Padelford Garage (enter at 25th Ave NE and NE 44th)
If you work in the UWMC or Health Sciences Building, occasional carpool parking is available in lots E10 and E12 (enter at Gate 8 ) .
Montlake E1 lot carpools enter at the south end of the lot and pay by Husky Card Account debit. Each carpool member must have money in a Husky Card Account (make deposits at least 24-hrs. to ensure a positive balance) and a valid U-PASS. Students, faculty and staff are all eligible to park in E1 individually or as a carpool.
Occasional carpool permits are not issued during some special event s such as Husky games.
