I'm still a beginner in music editing and most of the time I use the softwares to create electronic music. To me Cubase is more for editing and Live is more about performance and arrangement. What's your opinion? Thanks

I'm currently using Cubase SL and I'm happy with that. I also have Ableton Live Lite 5, which I like its interface very much (v. flexible and easy to use). They're now having a promotion that I can upgrade to Live 5 full version with US229 (download ver.), which comes with the free upgrade to Live 6 (will be released in Sep). Do you think it's worth upgrading? I like the software but I find the price is a bit expensive...

Just stick with the program that best suits you.
If your really dedicated to your music production go for it and buy it.
But before that, make sure you check out other production programs.
Also, check out what other people are saying about Ableton to make sure if you're going for it.
