My Car's Cd Player Isn't Working help?

like the topic says, my car's cd player isn't working, it used to work fine before but for some reason, when i play a CD now it plays for like 10 - 15 secs then it stops and ejects my CD and says "ERROR"
i've tried cleaning it with one of those cd cleaners but it didn't work. help? thanks in advance!
i drive a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer btw, heh i had a choice between that or a Civic, but screw hondas

the SUV is roomie as hell though, i have 2 LCD screens and a ps2 hooked up

if it does check ur manual and it tells u what kind of problem ur having
if not then take it to the dealer

As for the 10- 15 secs, yes i do hear music, then just when I think its working, the CD just stops n then it gets ejected.
And yes I could skip tracks to the middle and all, but the same thing happens, 10-15 secs then ejection again =[

get an itrip, its nicer than cds anyways
of course you need an ipod but since you are rolling with two lcds in your ride i dont think itll set you back too much

i'd much prefer the cd's over itrip.. the quality of the music via itrip sucks alot..

neways I have an ipod but i rarely use it, im prob gonna find a dock and hook up for my PSP, either that or buy a new CD player. but dang though....

this is waht u should do... take the cd player out , throw it in the garbage and go get urself a new nicer CD player =)
