i just got my dvd rw and i was wondering what kind of program do you guys use to convert video/avi files into dvd files? the lite-on dvd burner gave me a nero install disc but that disc doesnt have the option to convert in to dvd files. im trying to convert the files in downloaded from clubbox. i would appreciate if you guys told me what kind of program you use. thank you

I use WinAVI, it works good, you can even hardsub, I then use Nero to burn after its converted.

is there a simpler way to just burn any video files (wmv, real, avi, diVx) straight into video format on DVDs to be played on a standard DVD player?

i was browsing through the internet and there doesnt seem to be one - or there are ones but they are dodgy and stuff up my comp, or they charge a fee O_o

does anyone know a good one they use?

I dunno....
I just put a video file on the sonic program that came with my laptop and it automatically turns it into a DVD for me, and then spits it out. =__="

If you're really wondering how he (Tetra) looks...click; although I highly advise that you don't-- for your sake.
