Okay so right now I'm studying Fine Arts in college but after a few months into this course I now realise that I want to do A-levels & have a larger choice when it comes to choosing a profession / university .
My question is , do you think it would be right if I stayed in college an extra 2 years to do a-levels ?
I plan on taking English language , philosophy & still thinking on psychology & biology ;__;
I'm hesitating because I don't really want to be left behind by my friends sad excuse but I need honest advice >.>

I've been researching banks to apply for private student loans but
i was wondering it was better to go with the prime rate or the Libor index

1. (Perhaps this is out of bitterness/jealousy) Why is it that other people are able to receive the Federal Pell Grant, even when their parents make substantially more than my parents? Could it be that I filled my fafsa out a bit late? I filled out my fafsa in mid march, and because it was put up for verification and stuff, the process has pretty much dragged on until June. My parent's income is by the way, below average for the area we live in.
2. Since I did not receive any Federal Pell Grant, should I even bother applying for FAFSA next year? The process is extremely complicated, and at this point it seems very "pointless" because I have just wound up with loans.

Ok, so I got a 15,000 dollars scholarship (outside). Now the school is going to take away my work study. But can they take away my cal grant too?!
b/c if they do, I will have to pay 10,000 dollars family contribution. I don't have the money!!!
So, Do you think they will take away my cal grant?
please reply

I'm inquiring about this too.
Also, are loans from scholarship search websites like the Sallie Mae Smart Option Student Loan trustworthy or have better interest rates than loaning from a bank?

I also have the same question for pell grant.
I have another question:
So. i applied for fasfa and i'm qualified & De Anza(the cc im applying to) received it.
But i can't log-in to see how much i got from fasfa or anything. Do i have to turn in documents or something to De Anza?

I applied for it months ago before the deadline and everything and now my mom is hussling me asking me when I get the money, how I get it, how much i'm getting, and all that. The thing is I don't even know myself and neither do my friends. When do I know how much money FAFSA is going to give me? And how do I even get it? Is it going to be mailed to me? The same goes with Calgrant also.
Sorry if it's dumb but please help, i'm totally lost.

it depends on which college you are attending. I used to attend a community college and the school mails me an award letter stating how much I am suppose to received for the year and how much do I received each semester for that year. And, they notified me by mail to go to the school and claim the cheque.
Now that I'm attending a california state university, it's disbursed on first day of school and they use up that financial aid to pay any fees that I owe them. Whatever that's leftover is mailed to me.
As for the cal grant, it comes along with the financial aid for my schools

IMO I would say pay it during school so the interest doesn't build up. This is exactly why I suggest Subsidized loan to my bf: government pays interest while in school.
