Lately, when I use my computer I suddenly get this error message: "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

It automatically disconnects me from my internet but the weird thing is that when I reconnect to my internet, the internet is up and running but I can't go into any sites or on AIM. Usually the error message pops up within 15-30 minutes of using the computer and it's so annoying because I have to restart my computer so I can use the internet. I googled this error message and found a lot of sites that said it has to do with some Windows XP service pack 2 and that there is a way to get rid of it. So I followed the instructions on the microsoft support page: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=894391

After installing the program and restarting the computer, the same problem still happens. fury.gif fury.gif This is driving me insane. I need to bring this computer up with me to college in like 3 days and if this keeps happening at college too, I think I might just kill it. Anyone knows a way to stop this message from popping up?!

Do you got a antivirus and is it updated? maybe its a virus.

edit:

a quote of a other forum:

QUOTE
Have you done all of the updates available for Windows? Sounds like a W32.Blaster worm or a variant. Do ALL available updates, and scan with this removal tool.

oh i think i had it b4 try to download a w32.blaster deleter thingy.

BUT TILL YOU CANT FIX IT:

when the errors come go to: START > COMMAND and type in shutdown -a

This helped for me.

this virus is really bitchin!!!

EDIT2: TRY THIS:

http://www.symantec.com/security_response/...-081119-5051-99

OR DOWNLOAD THIS: http://downloads.vnunet.nl/download/antivi....6.1/_1177.html <<<< DO THIS FIRST!!!
